What does a Guest Services Representative Do?
Guest Services Interns will work with a number of clients throughout the summer, planning events, and working with front desk staff as well as the Summer Operations Team to be sure that all client needs are met. A successful Guest Services Representative will have a strong work ethic, solid attention to detail, and demonstrates experience with customer service. They must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritize and be organized, and feel comfortable working independently and making important decisions as necessary.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meeting and speaking with the appropriate contact to assist with housing, meals, special functions, classroom space, audio-visual needs, staffing, and other services as agreed upon in the client's Letter of Agreement
- Facilitating communication for housing needs between clientele and the Residential Life Summer Operations Team
- Supervising staff working on Conference and Event Services-related events
- Covering for the Front Desk as needed
- Attending weekly meetings with Dining Services
Candidates with a valid US driver’s license are preferred.
